CONNEMARA Experience Day Tour
This tour takes us to the West coast of Ireland and back in a day. You will get to experience the beautiful views provided in Conemara and have a chance to learn the fascinating and sometimes tragic history of the area. Our guides are excellent and will try to answer any questions you might have and to bring you to areas of outstanding beauty.
Trip Details:
06.50am - we leave from Dublin, St Andrews/ Suffolk Street (please arrive 10 min earlier);
09.00am - We have a short coffee break in Galway and then head out the coast road taking a scenic route to Oughterard ' The Gateway to Connemara', We will pass through many quaint towns and enjoy beautiful scenery before we enter the national park which has no boundary lines but is marked by its truly outstanding beauty and panoramic unspoiled views.
11.00am - Then we travel to Maam Cross a particularly beautiful place with picture perfect views of lakes hills and other gems.
11.30pm - We will travel through the fabulous Inagh Valley. This is a beautiful area and if you can't get a good picture hear you can't get one anywhere! Next stop is "Kylemore Abbey", once a prestigious girls boarding school it now homes nuns on retreat and welcomes tourists from everywhere around the world.
12.30pm - Time to visit the only Fjord in Ireland 'Killary Fjord'. Enjoy the views across the water of Mweelrea the highest mountain range on the West coast and marvel at the mussel beds in the harbour.
14.00pm -Next on the list is the village of Leenane where the iconic film the Field was shot - a must see for any film buff.
16.30pm - Back in Galway City take an hour to explore the narrow streets and visit some craft shops or visit some of the many tourist attractions, the Cladagh Ring Museum, Galway Cathedral and Galway harbour with the magnificent Spanish Arc are but a few.
20.00pm - Back in Dublin after a long yet full day of sights and adventure!
So come with us on this excursion to Ireland's west coast and back all in a day. For the duration of the trip our guide will endeavor to educate you on the flora and fauna, history and the geology of the area. We will also try to answer any questions you might have. We believe this tour is a must for any visitor to Ireland.

Dress Code
Comfortable waterproof walking boots, waterproof and windproof jacket. You may also want take an additional breathable top in case the weather gets colder. Thick socks / Hat / Gloves also may be a good choice, depending on the season. A good idea may be to bring along water bottle & lunch box. Sun Glasses, Sun Cream and insect repellent are two other essentials as the sun may be quite strong sometimes. And last but not least - don't forget your Camera!

Tours are conducted in all weather conditions, however if conditions are extremely rough then your tour may be rescheduled for another day.
